La Rojeña Distillery
Located in the heart of Tequila, La Rojeña is the oldest active distillery in Latin America, founded in 1758. As you walk through its doors, you’ll be surrounded by the aroma of agave and travel back in time as you explore its courtyards and rooms full of tradition.
During your visit, you’ll follow the artisanal tequila-making process step by step. You’ll see how the agave is selected, cooked in masonry ovens, the juices extracted, and then aged in barrels in the cellar.

This is the perfect introduction to the distillery. You’ll take a self-guided tour through the most representative areas of La Rojeña to learn the basics of the production process and the history of the distillery. At the end, you’ll enjoy a tasting of 1 tequila.
José Cuervo Experience (1.5 Hours)
Want to go deeper? This option includes a full tour of the distillery with a detailed explanation of the process. The highlight is a guided tasting of 4 tequilas from the José Cuervo Tradicional line, ideal for learning to distinguish aromas and profiles.
Distillery & Agave Fields Tour (3 Hours)
With this option, you’ll connect with the origin of the drink. We’ll begin by visiting the agave fields, where you’ll learn about cultivation and harvesting in the agave landscape. Afterward, we’ll return to the distillery for a guided tour, enjoy a tasting of three tequilas, and finish off with a grand finale featuring a selection of Mexican botanas, the country’s classic appetizers.
