Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up from your accommodation in Mérida at the scheduled time and leave the city behind to begin this trip to Campeche and the Sambulá cenote. A day full of nature and history awaits us!
Our first stop will take us to Abalá, specifically to the Sambulá Cenote, a natural treasure where you can marvel at the beauty of the waters gushing out of the limestone rocks.
We'll continue our tour in the city of Campeche, where you'll discover what the age of the privateers was like in Mexico. You'll visit the San José el Alto and San Miguel Fort and Museum, where you'll recount the historical milestones that affected this region and the defence of the city against pirate attacks. From here, you can explore the fortifications and enjoy some beautiful views of Campeche.
Finally, we'll make our way to the historic centre of Campeche. Here, you'll have free time to try the local food, admire the colonial architecture and stroll around the cobblestone streets. You'll also be able to enjoy a sunset on the boardwalk, where the views of the Gulf of Mexico are simply stunning.
10 hours later, the tour will come to an end back in Mérida. Until next time!
