Évora & Alentejo Wine Region Day Trip

At the designated time, we'll meet at the meeting point in Lisbon to set off for the iconic Alentejo region. Along the way, we'll take in the sight of plains dotted with vineyards, olive trees, and cork oaks until we reach Évora, a "city-museum" designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Once there, we'll take a guided tour of its historic center. During the tour, we'll admire its most notable monuments, such as the famous Roman Temple of Diana and the majestic Évora Cathedral, an imposing Romanesque-Gothic gem.

We'll also step inside the fascinating Capela dos Ossos to discover the shocking history hidden behind its walls, which are decorated with human remains.

Then, we'll continue our journey to Montemor-o-Novo, where we’ll stop to explore the historic ruins of its castle and its surroundings, steeped in centuries of history.

To round out the day, we'll take a guided tour of a traditional Alentejo winery. After learning about production methods and local grape varieties, we'll enjoy a tasting of four selected wines to savor the region's nuances.

After completing the tour, we'll head back to our starting point in Lisbon.

Small-Group Day Trip

If you're looking for a more intimate and personalized experience, you can choose the small-group option. This tour is limited to a maximum of 8 people per group, allowing for more personalized attention from the guide and greater flexibility when moving around.

Visit to Monsaraz

You can also choose the option that includes a visit to Monsaraz, one of Portugal's most beautiful and authentic medieval villages. We’ll stroll through its cobblestone streets, take in spectacular views of Lake Alqueva (Europe's largest artificial lake) from its castle, and enjoy a wine tasting in this unique historic setting.
